The Spirit 15 Wing is manufactured to the highest quality standards in the world. Wing Master Jenya Zozulya, with over 20 years experience designing, building and flying hang glider and trike wings, heads up Spirit wing production.

Every single step of the manufacturing process has a Quality Control check. After assembly, each wing is test flown and tuned if necessary before being shipped.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS:

TUBING: Aluminum tubing is 6082-T8 technical aircraft tube. This is the same tubing used by leading British trike wing manufacturers. It is anodized 25 microns.

Quality Assurance: At the Aluminum mill every tube is inspected for any kind of flaw or mark and measured for concentricity and even wall thickness. Both ends of every tube are cut off (150 mm approx.) and sent to a lab for analysis. If the size and material composition are within tolerances, then each tube has a number inscribed on it and is issued with a Certificate of Conformity. At the factory all tubes are cut and drilled in precision jigs.

CABLES: All cables are multi-strand stainless steel.

Quality Assurance: Cables are cut and crimped in jigs. Each crimp is then checked for correct size.

SAIL: The sail is put together with precision and the finest polyester fabrics available in the world. Top front surface is 6.3 oz Dacron. Top main surface is heavy duty 3 oz trilam (clear for a modern look) with a 200 kg (440 lb) Dynema cord sewn in. Bottom surface is 4 oz Dacron. Leading edge is 5 oz trilam.

Quality Assurance: Sail is checked for conformity at each step of manufacture.
